Muslim societies have experienced a decline in intellectual, moral, spiritual, political, and economic aspects, leading to an inability to creatively address civilizational challenges. This has caused disarray and self-destructive reactions within Muslim societies, with criticism arising from discontent individuals. Some attribute this decline to the neglect of worldly sciences and the emphasis on spirituality by scholars, which weakened Muslims' competitiveness against European rivals and resulted in colonization. However, the root cause appears to be the abandonment of philosophical inquiry in metaphysical and physical sciences. In the late nineteenth century, Muslim societies became fixated on material sciences, especially medicine and engineering, neglecting social sciences, causing a brain drain and filling the void with immigrants in the West. Ironically, Western overseers often have backgrounds in non-technical subjects.
