Why does Islam omit the famous “Golden Rule”? That haunting absence made me reflect, until I found something better, deeper, truer. The Qur’an says: “Forgive and overlook - do you not wish that Allah should forgive you?” (24:22). This isn't about human reciprocity. It's about Divine reciprocity. Not “do unto others as you want them to do unto you,” but: “Do unto others as you wish God to do unto you.” That changes everything.
